XVI - 1783 (preesistenze intero bene)
L'esistenza di un'antica chiesa dedicata a San Michele è attestata nei verbali della visita pastorale di mons. Del Tufo, avvenuta nell'ottobre del 1586. Essa sorgeva nella vecchia città di Seminara, che nel 1783 venne distrutta da un terremoto.
DescrizioneLa chiesa ottocentesca di San Michele è stata parzialmente ricostruita in forme romaniche dopo il sisma del 1908. L'interno, mononavato, presenta la zona presbiterale conclusa da abside semicircolare e separata da balaustre marmoree, mentre la facciata si caratterizza per la presenza del portale a sesto acuto, sovrastato da un rosone. L'edificio, sede della Confraternita di San Rocco, ha, oltre all'antico altare maggiore, anche quattro altari laterali, che reimpiegano elementi marmorei di epoche precedenti, con alzate in muratura e stucco. Sul secondo a sinistra, si trova la cinquecentesca Pala dell'Adorazione dei Magi, di Bottega messinese. In continuità con la facciata, sul lato destro, si erge la torre campanaria.

The existence of an ancient church dedicated to San Michele is attested in the minutes of the pastoral visit of Msgr. Del Tufo, which took place in October 1586. It stood in the old city of Seminara, which in 1783 was destroyed by an earthquake.
Description The nineteenth-century church of San Michele was partially rebuilt in Romanesque form after the earthquake of 1908. The interior, with a single nave, presents the presbytery area concluded by a semicircular apse and separated by marble balustrades, while the facade is characterized by the presence of the portal pointed arch, surmounted by a rose window. The building, seat of the Confraternity of San Rocco, has, in addition to the ancient high altar, also four side altars, which reuse marble elements of previous eras, with masonry and stucco elevations. On the second left, there is the sixteenth-century Altarpiece of the Adoration of the Magi, by Bottega Messina. In continuity with the facade, on the right side, stands the bell tower.
