★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La iglesia del Gesu es sin ninguna duda la más bella de Tropea. Ubicada junto al Ayuntamiento cuenta con frente hermoso y unos interiores muy bonitos. Fue construida por los jesuitas en el siglo XVII. El altar mayor, construido en mármol policromado es el elemento más extraordinario. Es de destacar en esta obra del siglo XVIII, la pintura de la circuncisión de Jesús, obra del artista De Matteis. También hay que mencionar el lienzo que representa a Natividad de los Grimaldi, y las pinturas que representan a Ignacio de Loyola y San Francisco Javier, del artista Pascaletti, del siglo XVIII. Esa iglesia, sobre la Piazza del Municipio, en lo alto del acantilado que alberga a Tropea, es una auténtica obra de arte.
The Gesu church is without a doubt the most beautiful in Tropea. Located next to the Town Hall, it has a beautiful front and very nice interiors. It was built by the Jesuits in the 17th century. The main altar, built in polychrome marble is the most extraordinary element. It is noteworthy in this eighteenth-century work, the painting of the circumcision of Jesus, the work of the artist De Matteis. Also worth mentioning is the canvas representing Natividad de los Grimaldi, and the paintings representing Ignacio de Loyola and San Francisco Javier, by the artist Pascaletti, from the 18th century. That church, on the Piazza del Municipio, on top of the cliff that houses Tropea, is a true work of art.
