★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent experience even in lockdown! Chef Stefano is hands on and very accommodating. I ordered a special lunch for a birthday celebration and it couldn't have been more perfect. Everything was exquisite, perfectly and thoughtfully packaged and delivered straight to our door right on time. The quality of the seafood was outstanding, beautifully presented, in good size portions (I had over ordered not knowing how big the portions would be) and delicious. Even the bread that came with the meal was warm on arrival! Exchanges with Chef Stefano were easy, friendly and immediate. Very happy to have made this discovery and can't wait to eat at Chinappi when things open up again! Thank you!!

Had the tasting menu for one, which was mostly good - the first two courses were excellent and very special, but the pasta was a bit disappointing and might i say "ordinary" in its flavors. The Tiremisu dissert was great!
Also got a bit disappointed that todays tasting menu did not include special seafood, and only fish.
Overall i recommend it, and will advise to check the daily tasting menu before ordering it, and might consider to "regularly" order from the main menu, which contains very interesting dishes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An absolutely awesome meal of raw seafood, octopus (THE BEST), baked sea bass and pasta. The service was friendly, warm and attentive. This was our best dinner during our 6 days in Rome and so good, we have rebooked! It is so hard to weed out the average from the exceptional in Rome and this was unexpectedly excellent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went in this lovely restaurant with my mom once I got back to Italy for vacation. The first thing that surprised me was the nice atmosphere and the warm welcome from the Owner, his name is Stefano and I swear he is the nicest person ever!
After he showed us our table, he introduced us the menu which is really refined and tasteful. We really trusted him and he took care of us for the entire dinner. Before choosing this restaurant I read the bad reviews where many costumers said that Stefano wanted to forced them to order what he wanted, but I totally disagree with them!!! If it seemed like this, it's just because Stefano wanted to suggest them the best dish and guide them in a 5* dinner experience.
I love food and so I loved this restaurant! We've got various selection of raw fish, the taste was great and the fish was super fresh... but the best part was the main courses! My mom got a grilled octopus, and I got a Spaghetti with clams that was amazing!
Chinappi is a family restaurant, and it was nice to talk with Stefano's wife and their sons. I'll definitely recommend this place to my friends and to whom will read this review!

The patron Stefano Chinappi always recommends the best, and he's also a great champagne expert. Let him guide you in a great experience at Chinappi Restaurant! (don't forget to taste as raw fish as possibile!)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Long waited review.. over a month since I've been to this restaurant and I still cannot forget how amazing this restaurant was. this is how good this place is. the food were just fabulous and fresh. it will be a disservice to myself if I don't leave a comment here.
The chief was extremely nice and was a delight having just a few chat with him. here are just a few dishes, eg. drill octopus, creme brulee, red prawns and etc.. the waiter also recommended this local white, that was fruit yet dry which pair perfectly with the seafood. Too bad my luggage was getting full or else I will order a few back home.
Has to be my best meal in Italy by far!!
