★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stumbled across this place down a quiet street and was initially drawn in by the healthy muesli breakfast advertised, after getting way too accustomed to sweet Italian pastries. Stepping inside we were greeted by a charming unassuming chap called Salvador and the kind of interesting chill music that is so often absent from cafes and bars that don’t deviate from the mainstream. Great muesli with yogurt, honey, nuts, fig jam and fruit (apparently we got the last peach of the season) and great coffee. The best part; Salvador is a historian and schooled us on Italian history for 10 minutes after noticing I was reading A Brief History of Italy. He then suggested we visit the Inquisition jail (which I had no idea existed) to see prisoners’ artwork painted on to the walls. He made our day! Only wish we’d had time to go back for dinner :(

the breakfasts in the morning are spot on -you get a decent coffee done the way you want plus a freshly pressed orange juice + a granola/rice with yogurt and lots of fruit... or a croissant/sweet. All for very cheap!
The bar of a nighttime is really superb as well... great live music and very well curated background music also. The seating is just right -with enough room to stand around and at the bar also. The drinks are all done to a very very high standard too but no where near as pricey as some spots
The outside space is a real asset and works perfectly with the venue.
The people who run this bar are also really really wonderful!!! Its a lovely vibe and full of nice locals and tourists who know how to be good and do good. 10/10
