★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Si tratta della più grande (per superficie) chiesa della città. Trovarla chiusa, senza nessuna indicazione sugli orari di apertura, mentre quasi tutte le altre chiese sono aperte, è davvero una delusione enorme.
It is the largest (by area) church in the city. Finding it closed, with no indication of opening times, while almost all other churches are open, it really is a huge disappointment.

L'edificio è in stile barocco-neoclassico, a tre navate, con numerosi e ricchi altari, fra cui quello che doveva ospitare le ceneri del benefattore Busacca, mai pervenute da Palermo nonostante le ingenti spese sostenute.
Ospita la statua del Cristo Risorto, "'U Gioia", la statua rivestita d'argento dell'Immacolata e l'Addolorata.
Chiusa di mattina, salvo cerimonie religiose, è aperta di pomeriggio dalle ore 17 alle 19.
It is the largest and most important church in Scicli, since 1994 it has also housed the Sanctuary of Maria SS.ma della Pietà.
The building is in baroque-neoclassical style, with three naves, with numerous and rich altars, including the one that was to house the ashes of the benefactor Busacca, never arrived from Palermo despite the huge costs incurred.
It houses the statue of the Risen Christ, "'U Gioia", the silver-covered statue of the Immaculate and the Addolorata.
Closed in the morning, except for religious ceremonies, it is open in the afternoon from 17 to 19.
