L'edificio è caratterizzato da un poderoso campanile e da un tiburio ottagonale. Un rifacimento ottocentesco, forse dovuto al terremoto del 1846, ha articolato l'interno in tre navate così che, pur non essendo di grandi dimensioni, la chiesa dà un'impressione di monumentalità. Un precedente restauro del 1755 è ricordato da un'iscrizione incisa su una pietra sullo spigolo esterno sinistro.
Nella chiesa si conservano un frammento di tavola quattrocentesca con la Madonna e il Bambino, e un monumento in marmo bianco che commemora in forme neoclassiche e con un bel corredo di elementi simbolici il santalucese Vincenzo Giuseppe Totti, morto nel 1858 in un'epidemia di colera.
In 1372 it is remembered as a branch of the nearby parish church of Sant'Angelo.
The building is characterized by a mighty bell tower and an octagonal lantern. A nineteenth-century reconstruction, perhaps due to the earthquake of 1846, has divided the interior into three naves so that, although not large, the church gives an impression of monumentality. A previous restoration of 1755 is remembered by an inscription engraved on a stone on the left external corner.
In the church there is a fragment of a fifteenth-century table with the Madonna and Child, and a monument in white marble that commemorates in neoclassical forms and with a beautiful set of symbolic elements the Santalucese Vincenzo Giuseppe Totti, who died in 1858 in an epidemic of cholera .

Colline moreniche che caratterizzano il territorio a perdita d'occhio...
A monte del paese è circondato da bellissimi boschi pressoché disabitati, dove c'e un parco eolico, grazie ad esso sono state realizzate ampie strade che permettono di visitare ed attraversare distensioni boschive di anche 20 o 30 km di estensione.
Alcuni tratti è obbligatorio per accedervi l'utilizzo di veicoli 4x4....
