★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Attrazione a due passi dall'agriturismo "Il Meletto", si tratta della prima chiesa di Casciana Alta in stato di completo abbandono, quasi fatiscente.
Presenta affreschi e una croce pisana degni di nota, un vero peccato vederla così ma intrigante sicuramente.
L'edificio di culto è citato nel catalogo delle chiese della diocesi di Lucca del 1260 come San Niccolò a Sezzana.
In passato si trovava alla confluenza di varie strade che collegavano i centro della zona: Casciana, Lari, Usigliano, Gramugnana.
Attraction a stone's throw from the farmhouse "Il Meletto", it is the first church in Casciana Alta in a state of complete abandon, almost dilapidated.
It has frescoes and a Pisan cross worthy of note, a real shame to see it so but certainly intriguing.
The building of worship is mentioned in the catalog of churches of the diocese of Lucca from 1260 as San Niccolò a Sezzana.
