★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nel quartiere di Gera, sulla riva destra dell’Adda, appena al di là del ponte, sorge la chiesa dedicata ai Santi Rocco e Sebastiano, protettori contro la temutissima peste che per tanti anni in Europa falciò numerose vittime. La chiesa è stata eretta nel 1486 come oratorio e ampliata nel 1583. Il suo svettante campanile a guglia è il più antico di Pizzighettone e non ha subito modifiche.
In the district of Gera, on the right bank of the Adda, just beyond the bridge, stands the church dedicated to Saints Rocco and Sebastian, protectors against the dreaded plague which for many years in Europe killed numerous victims. The church was built in 1486 as an oratory and enlarged in 1583. Its soaring spire bell tower is the oldest in Pizzighettone and has not undergone any changes.
