Worst church I've ever visited but who designed it?

Torri di Arcugnano, a fraction of the Municipality of Arcugnano and the seat, always, of the Municipality itself, has become a Parish, given the increase in the number of inhabitants during the last 80's, in 1990, by decree of the then Bishop of Vicenza , Monsignor Pietro Giacomo Nonis, who died a few years ago as he was already "emeritus". It was the last Parish to be erected, as such, in the Diocese of Vicenza. Since the end of the 90s and for all these first two decades of the new century and millennium, parishes - given the scarcity of clergy and the flight of many - have obviously no longer been constituted, and indeed the creation of Unity has taken hold. Pastorals in which two or more parishes, mostly small and medium-sized (as regards population), while remaining juridically autonomous, are in fact joined together under the pastoral direction of a single parish priest or two-three co-parish priests "in solid ", of which one, appointed by the Diocesan Ordinary, is the Moderator Parish Priest and is the juridical responsible, before the civil authority, of the Parishes of the Pastoral Unit of which he is the main responsible. Torri di Arcugnano is also part of one of these Pastoral Units, with a single parish priest for several parishes, and an aggregation of the various activities that previously took place separately from parish to parish. Since 1988, a prefabricated building of modest dimensions has performed very well the functions of a Subsidiary Chapel and then of the Parish Chapel. In 2008, the Parish Church of San Luca Evangelista was opened to the cult: sober, sufficiently large, roomy and airy, a basic rectangle divided by concrete columns in three naves, the central double width of each of the two side aisles, and which it extends beyond the rectangle to form the projecting apse opened inside by a lantern. My opinion: to appreciate the return to the historical layout of the Catholic Churches (with even 3 naves !!!), but it could have been done much better. The external facade is not convincing at all. The Church is raised on the Crypt-Chapel of the SS. Sacramento and the adjacent rooms for Christian Doctrine Lessons. Raised presbytery as it should be, with the Altar "versus populum" it gives a certain impression of grandeur, and this too is in conformity with Catholic Sacred Art. Outside, in front of the façade, on a corner of the parking lot all in gravel, a trellis, the only one left of the sports field's headlights that once existed "on site", holds up the megaphones that spread the recorded sound of the Bells: it is the unusual "Bell Tower" of the Church. So, better, certainly much better than the "Churches" erected in the last 60 years, but it could and should have been done even better. However, San Luca di Torri di Arcugnano is by far the largest of the 7 Parish Churches of the Arcugnano Municipality, the other six smaller but rich in history and art.

Great acoustics and lighting, modern, sober church. It performs its function very well.
