E	Enrico Ripamonti on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Inizialmente dedicata alla B.V. Maria d'Egro, cioè "del campo", la chiesa è ancora oggi situata tra le coltivazioni lungo la decaduta Via Biandrina. Attestata per la prima volta nel 1220 (ma si ha ragione di crederla molto più antica) ha un aspetto esterno tardo-gotico frutto degli ampliamenti del XV e XIV secolo che la dotarono anche di un interessante ciclo di affreschi interni (alcuni non più leggibili). Il dipinto più importante si trova, però, all'esterno del muro meridionale e ritrae la Vergine con il Bambino: realizzato probabilmente dalla bottega dei Cagnola è oggetto, ancora oggi, di grande venerazione e fu testimone dell'ultimo caso di "ritorno alla vita" di un neonato, avvenuto nella diocesi di Novara il 16 ottobre 1724. A fianco dell'immagine mariana sono dipinti un sant'Antonio da Padova ed un altro santo non più identificabile ad arricchire quest'insolita struttura settecentesca, aperta, non pavimentata ma sempre ben curata. Initially dedicated to B.V. Maria of Egro, that "the field", the church is still situated today among the crops along the impoverished Via Biandrina. Attested for the first time in 1220 (but one has reason to believe it much older) it has a late-Gothic exterior appearance, the result of the enlargements of the fifteenth and fourteenth centuries which also endowed it with an interesting cycle of internal frescoes (some of which are no longer legible) . The most important painting is found, however, outside the southern wall and portrays the Virgin with the Child: probably made by the Cagnola workshop, it is still the object of great veneration and witnessed the last case of "return to life "of a newborn, which occurred in the diocese of Novara on 16 October 1724. Next to the Marian image are a St. Anthony of Padua and another saint who is no longer identifiable to enrich this unusual eighteenth-century structure, open, unpaved but always well cared for.

La chiesa conserva affreschi tardogotici che ricoprono l’intera superficie della cappella presbiteriale. Sulle vele della volta sono rappresentati i quattro Padri della Chiesa : ad est san Girolamo, a sud sant’Ambrogio, ad ovest san Gregorio Magno, a nord sant’Agostino. Sulle pareti sono rappresentate le storie della Vergine; natività, adorazione dei Magi, fuga in Egitto, l’assunzione della Vergine ed una pala di Madonna con Bambino e Santi, Sulle pareti nord e sud della navata la Vergine con il Bambino. The church of the Madonna della Neve is a late Gothic structure oriented towards a single nave. The church preserves late Gothic frescoes that cover the entire surface of the presbytery chapel. On the sails of the vault are represented the four Fathers of the Church: St. Jerome to the east, St. Ambrose to the south, St. Gregory the Great to the west, St. Augustine to the north. On the walls the stories of the Virgin are represented; nativity, adoration of the Magi, flight to Egypt, the assumption of the Virgin and an altarpiece of Madonna and Child with Saints, on the north and south walls of the nave, the Virgin and Child.

Le murature presentano la caratteristica tecnica mista di laterizi e ciottoli di fiume, tipica di questo territorio. Suggestiva la visione d'insieme che regala osservandola da lontano. All'interno belli gli affreschi nella zona del presbiterio, seppur versino in uno stato di conservazione non ottimale. Simple but beautiful country church surrounded by nature. The walls have the characteristic mixed technique of bricks and river pebbles, typical of this area. The overall vision that it gives by observing it from afar is suggestive. Inside, the frescoes in the presbytery area are beautiful, although they are in a non-optimal state of conservation.
