★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Chiesa "Madonna della Sicilia" fu fortemente voluta e realizzata per mano del Sacerdote Padre Giuseppe Passamonte, al quale fu donato gratuitamente da privati l'area ove oggi sorge la Chiesa, così da poter radunare tutti ifedeli/villeggianti che nel periodo estivo avevano residenza nell'area marittima ficarazzese. La Chiesa infatti gode di uno stupendo panorama sul mare. Purtroppo ad oggi non è stata regolarizzata la situazione urbanistica della struttura, e si spera possa essere salvata da eventuali provvedimenti volti alla demolizione, in quanto costituisce un bene comune per tutta la comunità ficarazzese.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tralasciando le tristi vicende burocratiche che hanno accompagnato la costruzione di questa chiesa, non si può non sottolineare lo stato di totale abbandono e degrado in cui versa l'intera struttura. Passata sotto la proprietà pubblica da qualche tempo, non so se al comune di Ficarazzi o della regione Sicilia, questo sito si erge a imperitura memoria dell'inefficienza della P.A.
