DescrizioneNella frazione Seiano, la chiesa è conosciuta in tutta la penisla sorrentina e ritenuta in ogni epoca, oltremodo miracolosa dalla gente di mare del contado. A testimonianza delle “Grazie” ricevute e dei prodigi che, ancora oggi si sentono raccontare dagli anziani marinai, la navata di sinistra della chiesa è tappezzata da quadri votivi eseguiti in epoche diverse. La chiesa è composta da una navata centrale e una piccola laterale. La navata centrale è sormontata da una volta a botte ribassata ed è separata dalla navata laterale, coperta anch’essa da una volta a botte con unghie, da tre pilastri di tufo. Le pareti e le arcate sono ornate di finto marmo. La facciata è bugnata nella parte bassa, scandita da due lesene laterali sormontate da capitelli corinzi e da un architrave liscio. Al centro vi è la porta d’ingresso sulla quale poggia una lunetta incisa che custodisce un dipinto (La Vergine e Gesù Bambino). La facciata prosegue a sinistra con un campanile a pianta quadrata a due ordini. In risalto poi la cappella della Madonna delle Grazie di Seiano, che fu anche sede della parrocchia locale fino al principio del '600. Originariamente, questa cappella si trovava in un luogo diverso di quello attuale; fu qui riedificata verso la metà del 500'. Trasferita la sede dalla parrocchia nella nuova Chiesa di San. Marco, questa cappella andò deperendo; alla metà del 1600 non vi si celebrava che molto raramente la messa. Nuovi lavori di restauro e di abbellimento furono fatti nella seconda metà del 1700, per iniziativa del sacerdote seianese don Marco Dolce, il quale riuscì anche ad ottenere dal capitolo vaticano l'incoronazione dell'immagine della "S. S. Vergine" che vi si venerava. Così questa preziosa cappella ebbe anche il titolo dell'Incoronata, titolo che tutt'ora conserva. Infine è da notare che, in quei lontani anni era già in attività il panoramico "Hotel Seiano", con la sua bella vista sul mare, che attirava una affollata clientela di turisti italiani e stranieri.
