b	benedetta migliorini on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pessima esperienza: parcheggiamo nei pressi cercando un percorso menzionato dal Comune di Castiglione che NON è poi assolutamente indicato da alcuna segnaletica, si presenta a noi un padre del quale non comprendo il nome tanto lo sussurra che chiede i nostri nomi, ci dice di spegnere i cellulari ci informa che la chiesa è aperta e poi sparisce. A noi non interessava la chiesa ma il percorso naturalistico di cui sopra quindi risaliamo in auto e facciamo manovra per andarcene... una serie di burla belluine fà spaventare ed arrabbiare mio marito alla guida: il suddetto padre compare all’improvviso al finestrino lato guidatore dicendoci che eravamo andati a casa sua e che prima di andarcene dovevamo salutarlo (!!!) Ne ho visitati tantissimi di Eremi e Santuari, molti all’estero : non ho MAI e sottolineo MAI incontrato un personaggio così ambiguo ! Ma la Chiesa ne è a conoscenza ??? Very bad experience: we park nearby looking for a route mentioned by the Municipality of Castiglione that is NOT absolutely indicated by any signs, we are presented with a father whose name I don't understand so he whispers that he asks for our names, tells us to turn off the mobiles informs us that the church is open and then disappears. We were not interested in the church but the naturalistic path above so we get back in the car and we maneuver to get out ... a series of belluno jokes makes my husband scared and angry at the wheel: the aforementioned father suddenly appears on the driver's side window telling us that we had gone to his house and that before leaving we had to say goodbye (!!!) I visited so many of Hermitages and Sanctuaries, many abroad: I have NEVER and I emphasize NEVER met such an ambiguous character! But is the Church aware of this ???
M	MP on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Eremo della Ghisiola a Castiglione delle Stiviere (MN). Graziosa chiesetta campestre immersa nella quiete del paesaggio delle colline moreniche del Garda. Deve il suo nome alla originaria cappella quattrocentesca ("chiesuola" da cui il nome Ghisiola) poi ampliata nella prima metà del Cinquecento. Essa è legata ad un episodio dell'infazia di San Luigi Gonzaga: per superare una grave malattia che aveva colpito il bambino all'età di due anni, la madre Marta Tana, invocò l'aiuto della Madonna della Rosa, il cui affresco è custodito all'interno. Il piccolo guarì e la madre offrì alla chiesa un ritratto di Luigi con una rosa in mano. La rosa del ritratto si collega ad un particolare del quattrocentesco affresco dell'altare, che raffigura la Madonna mentre offre una rosa a Gesù bambino. Fin dal tempo dei Gonzaga, l’eremo ebbe un ruolo importante nelle tradizioni religiose castiglionesi. Oasi di pace alle porte della città, oggi si mantiene come luogo di silenzio e meditazione, conciliando la quiete della natura alla vicinanza con Dio. Eremo della Ghisiola in Castiglione delle Stiviere (MN). Pretty country church immersed in the quiet landscape of the Garda morainic hills. It owes its name to the original fifteenth-century chapel ("chiesuola" from which the name Ghisiola derives) then enlarged in the first half of the sixteenth century. It is linked to an episode of the infancy of San Luigi Gonzaga: to overcome a serious illness that had struck the child at the age of two, his mother Marta Tana, invoked the help of the Madonna della Rosa, whose fresco is kept inside of. The child was cured and his mother offered the church a portrait of Luigi with a rose in his hand. The rose of the portrait is connected to a detail of the fifteenth-century fresco of the altar, which depicts the Madonna offering a rose to the baby Jesus. Since the time of the Gonzagas, the hermitage had an important role in the Castilian religious traditions. An oasis of peace on the outskirts of the city, today it remains a place of silence and meditation, reconciling the tranquility of nature with closeness to God.

Moreno tutta l'area è rifiorita, ogni spazio è valorizzato. Dalla chiesa partono passeggiate tra le colline moreniche dell'alto Mantovano. Place of spirituality, of silence. Once the church had fallen into disuse. Thanks to the work of Br. Moreno, the whole area has flourished again, every space is enhanced. Walks start from the church in the morainic hills of the upper Mantua area.
