Text auf der Beschreibungstafel:
“Erbaut im Jahre 1720 durch die Inhaber des Küchenmairhofes in Viers, die Edlen von Troyer. 1730 Weihe durch Fürstbischof Caspar Ignaz von Künigl zu Ehren der hl. Katharina von Alexandrien. Altar (1728) mit Bildnis der Vermählung der hl. Katharina und Johannes des Täufers. An den Seiten Statuen des hl. Georg und des hl. Martin, sowie das Allianzwappen der Troyer-Winkelhofen. Weiters ein Bild aus dem 18. Jh. mit der Erscheinung Christi an Maria Magdalena. Die 1741 geplante Errichtung einer eigenen Kaplanei zu Viers mit einem Kapital von 4 000 Gulden durch Johann Kaspar von Troyer, Chorherrn zu Innichen, kam nicht zustande. Dennoch sind einzelne Kapläne überliefert, wie Ignaz Widmann (+ 1787) und Ignaz Tasser (+ 1806).”

“Built in 1720 by the owners of the Küchenmairhof in Viers, the nobles von Troyer. 1730 consecration by Prince-Bishop Caspar Ignaz von Künigl in honor of St. Catherine of Alexandria. Altar (1728) with a portrait of the marriage of St. Catherine and John the Baptist. On the sides statues of St. George and St. Martin, as well as the alliance coat of arms of the Troyer-Winkelhofen. Also a picture from the 18th century with the appearance of Christ to Maria Magdalena. Johann Kaspar von Troyer, Canon of San Candido, did not succeed in setting up his own chaplaincy of four, planned in 1741, with a capital of 4,000 guilders. Nevertheless, individual chaplains have been handed down, such as Ignaz Widmann (+ 1787) and Ignaz Tasser (+ 1806). "
