Certamente il complesso religioso oggi si presenta diverso per molti aspetti dalla chiesa che venne abbandonata nella prima metà del secolo scorso, ma per i cittadini di Borrello, specie quelli più anziani, che tanto soffrirono per questa triste vicenda, è stato un vero motivo di orgoglio e di fede il poter nuovamente partecipare alle sacre funzioni nella medesima chiesa dove molti di loro erano stati battezzati.
