★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Esternamente bella anche se i dintorni devono essere un po' ristrutturati, bella vista in quanto pur non essendo in molto alto domina il paese.
Purtroppo la chiesa era chiusa pertanto non posso giudicare interno.
Externally beautiful even if the surroundings have to be a little restored, beautiful view as although it is not very high it dominates the town.
Unfortunately the church was closed so I can't judge internally.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Antica chiesa in posizione assai panoramica, da cui si gode ampio panorama di un buon e felice tratto della Valtellina, e del comune dove di trova, che si chiama Lovero.
Di fondazione alquanto remota, conserva vicino perfino un ossario. L'aspetto è aspro, austero, tipico in una chiesa secondaria di un borgo campestre, un tempo pressoché abitato da contadini.
Ancient church in a very panoramic position, from which you can enjoy a wide panorama of a good and happy stretch of Valtellina, and of the municipality where it is located, which is called Lovero.
Of somewhat remote foundation, it still has an ossuary nearby. The appearance is harsh, austere, typical in a secondary church of a rural village, once almost inhabited by peasants.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2007-2010 Chiesa situata a Lovero in posizione panoramica,vista più volte,è dedicata a Sant'Alessandro molto venerato in valle,il suo interno è affrescato (XV secolo),all'esterno si nota un ossario del 1636-37 che contiene i resti di un epidemia di peste.Luogo interessante da visitare.
2007-2010 Church located in Lovero in a panoramic position, seen several times, is dedicated to Sant'Alessandro much venerated in the valley, its interior is frescoed (15th century), outside there is an ossuary from 1636-37 which remains of a plague epidemic. Interesting place to visit.

During the summer of 2018 I had the opportunity to visit the church with a tour guide. The history of the place and the frescoes is fascinating. A church that I have always known and being able to learn more about its history was beautiful.
