Della chiesa si hanno notizie a partire dal 1412 ma la consacrazione dell'altare a San Silvestro avvenne più tardi, nel 1551. Dopo alterne vicende, che videro anche un parziale abbandono, la chiesa venne ingrandita e furono rifatti abside e altare. All’interno dell'edificio si possono vedere splendidi splendidi affreschi del 300.
La chiesa oggi si trova in una proprietà privata e manca una segnaletica adeguata per raggiungerla.
