La chiesa si occupava della cura d'anime della località di Simignano, ed era un tempo dipendente dalla vicina Pieve di Scode (l'attuale Pievescola). Adiacente all'edificio della chiesa si trova il campanile, costruito interamente in calcare cavernoso locale, sulle cui murature sono leggibili alcuni influenze stilistiche del romanico lombardo.
The church of San Magno is a small structure of medieval origins, which has a single-nave structure. The church took care of the care of souls in the town of Simignano, and was once dependent on the nearby Pieve di Scode (the current Pievescola). Adjacent to the church building is the bell tower, built entirely of local cavernous limestone, on whose walls some stylistic influences of the Lombard Romanesque can be read.
