★ ★ ★ ★ ★ L’edificio sacro di origine medievale, ma rimaneggiato a più riprese nel corso dei secoli, è uno dei più antichi del borgo (XIII secolo). Si trova sul perimetro di Piazza Casolini.
Da fonti ecclesiastiche, pare che la chiesa sia stata costruita come cappella gentilizia della famiglia Cosentino di Catanzaro, il cui stemma è visibile nella facciata, sormontato da uno stemma pontificio marmoreo risalente al XVI secolo. Quest'ultimo mette in risalto il legame spirituale con la basilica romana di San Giovanni in Laterano.
Il portale d'ingresso ad arco è in granito.
Del primitivo impianto romanico con influenze ancora bizantine resta traccia nella facciata a capanna scandita da due monofore strombate e nel modesto campanile a vela che la conclude sul lato sinistro.
L’interno a navata unica, notevolmente alterato rispetto alle origini a causa dei restauri condotti nel secolo scorso (1971), presenta un interessante soffitto a lacunari in legno (cassettoni colorati).

 The sacred building of medieval origin, but remodeled several times over the centuries, is one of the oldest in the village (13th century). It is located on the perimeter of Piazza Casolini.
From ecclesiastical sources, it seems that the church was built as a noble chapel of the Cosentino family of Catanzaro, whose coat of arms is visible on the facade, surmounted by a papal marble coat of arms dating back to the sixteenth century. The latter highlights the spiritual link with the Roman basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano.
The arched entrance portal is made of granite.
Traces of the primitive Romanesque structure with still Byzantine influences remain in the gabled façade marked by two splayed single lancet windows and in the modest bell gable that concludes it on the left side.
The interior with a single nave, significantly altered from its origins due to the restorations carried out in the last century (1971), has an interesting wooden coffered ceiling (colored coffers).
