Legata al culto di San Benedetto, di cui si conserva una scultura, la chiesa è sede della confraternita del purgatorio e alle anime del purgatorio è dedicata la grande tela nell'abside. Molto interessante anche l'affresco di santa Apollonia e nella navatella, la tela raffigurante la Madonna in cielo tra i santi Antonio e Benedetto.
