★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sul luogo sorgeva, fino al Settecento, un monastero dedicato a S. Giuliano che, dopo il terremoto del 1693, ospitò l’ospedale S. Marco. Quando quest’ultimo venne trasferito altrove, il piccolo monastero fu affidato ai padri Teatini, che officiarono la chiesa sorta nel frattempo accanto a quella del monastero ed intitolata a S. Gaetano.
 Up to the eighteenth century there was a monastery dedicated to S. Giuliano on the site which, after the earthquake of 1693, hosted the S. Marco hospital. When the latter was transferred elsewhere, the small monastery was entrusted to the Theatine fathers, who officiated the church built in the meantime next to that of the monastery and dedicated to S. Gaetano.
