Vi si venera una tela che ritrae il gruppo marmoreo gagginesco dell'Annunziata perduto sotto la lava il 12 marzo 1669 a Mompileri (che dà il nome all'intera frazione) e la statua lignea di San Michele conservatasi tra le lave della stessa eruzione.
Early sec. XVIII built to accommodate the faithful exiles from the destroyed Mompileri. There is venerated a canvas depicting the Gagginesque marble group of the Annunziata lost under the lava on 12 March 1669 in Mompileri (which gives its name to the entire hamlet) and the wooden statue of San Michele preserved among the lava of the same eruption.
