★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La nuova chiesa parrocchiale di Castello di Fiemme venne edificata a partire dal 1850 sul dosso di Santa Lucia che domina l'abitato. La dedicazione fu da subito per San Giorgio martire, ricevendola al posto dell'antica chiesa di San Giorgio che le sorge accanto e che da quel momento venne dedicata a Maria Immacolata di Lourdes.[1]
La costruzione fu preceduta da lavori per ampliare la via di accesso che provocarono la distruzione di parte della Via Crucis che vi si trovavano e fu ultimata nel 1856. Nello stesso anno il camposanto venne ampliato nelle dimensioni che sono rimaste e la chiesa, alla fine dei lavori, venne benedetta.[1]
Il vescovo di Trento Benedetto Riccabona de Reichenfels celebrò la sua consacrazione solenne nel 1864.[1]
Nel XX secolo venne eretta la torre campanaria (1907-1908) che sostituì la più antica e da poco demolita della chiesa che le è rimasta accanto.
Nel primo dopoguerra, nel 1920, venne elevata a dignità parrocchiale. Pochi anni dopo, sul sagrato, venne costruito un monumento a ricordo dei caduti durante il conflitto e nel 1925 parte dell'intradosso della copertura della navata e del presbiterio fu affrescato.
Negli anni settanta furono necessari interventi restaurativi diversi e di nuovo, nel biennio 2008-2009 altri lavori hanno riguardato il castello delle campane nella torre.
 The new parish church of Castello di Fiemme was built starting from 1850 on the hill of Santa Lucia which dominates the town. The dedication was immediately for St. George the martyr, receiving it in place of the ancient church of San Giorgio that stands next to it and which from that moment was dedicated to Mary Immaculate of Lourdes. [1]
The construction was preceded by works to widen the access road that caused the destruction of part of the Via Crucis that were there and was completed in 1856. In the same year the cemetery was enlarged in the dimensions that remained and the church, at the end of the works, was blessed. [1]
The bishop of Trent Benedetto Riccabona de Reichenfels celebrated his solemn consecration in 1864. [1]
In the twentieth century the bell tower was erected (1907-1908) which replaced the oldest and recently demolished of the church that remained next to it.
In the first postwar period, in 1920, it was elevated to parish dignity. A few years later, in the churchyard, a monument was built in memory of the fallen during the conflict and in 1925 part of the intrados of the nave and presbytery roof was frescoed.
In the seventies various restorations were necessary and again, in the two-year period 2008-2009 other works concerned the castle of the bells in the tower.
