L	Laura Fiandrotti on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chiesa costruita nel 1600 (nelle vicinanze della chiesa di San Giuliano andata in rovina) nel centro storico di Mombercelli, sotto il castello; la facciata é a pseudo salienti, movimentata da quattro lesene con capitelli ionici che sostengono idealmente il frontone, con cornice orizzontale e tre portali che indicano l'organizzazione interna. La chiesa originaria era a navata unica sormontata da volta a botte, trasformata a metà dell'Ottocento con l'aggiunta delle navate laterali. Oggi si presenta con tre navate, la volta centrale affrescata dai fratelli Ivaldi (raffigurazioni di: "Battesimo di Gesù al Giordano, Trionfo della Fede sull'Eresia, L'assunzione di Maria al Cielo, La Risurrezione di Gesù" e figure di Santi), l'abside semicircolare con coro ligneo, una cappella laterale dedicata alla Madonna. Arricchiscono la Chiesa: un ambone in legno ricordo delle prediche passate, un pregiato organo Ottocentesco, restaurato recentemente, sopra l'ingresso principale. Preziosa è la pala raffigurante la "Madonna del Rosario" realizzata dal pittore Guglielmo Caccia detto il Moncalvo, nel Seicento, così come pregevoli sono i quadri della Via Crucis realizzati da Michelangelo Pittatore. Church built in 1600 (near the church of San Giuliano in ruins) in the historical center of Mombercelli, under the castle; the façade is a pseudo salient, enlivened by four pilasters with Ionic capitals that ideally support the pediment, with a horizontal frame and three portals that indicate the internal organization. The original church was a single nave surmounted by a barrel vault, transformed in the mid-nineteenth century with the addition of the side aisles. Today it has three naves, the central vault frescoed by the Ivaldi brothers (depictions of: "Baptism of Jesus at the Jordan, Triumph of the Faith on Heresy, The Assumption of Mary to Heaven, The Resurrection of Jesus" and figures of Saints) , the semicircular apse with wooden choir, a side chapel dedicated to the Madonna. Enrich the Church: a wooden ambo, a memory of past sermons, a fine nineteenth-century organ, recently restored, above the main entrance. Precious is the shovel depicting the "Madonna of the Rosary" made by the painter Guglielmo Caccia known as the Moncalvo, in the seventeenth century, just as valuable are the paintings of the Via Crucis made by Michelangelo Pittatore.
