★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bella chiesa! Fu voluta espressamente da Vespasiano Gonzaga nel 1562 per sostituire l'antica parrocchiale. Per realizzarla venne chiamato l'architetto Pietro Martire Pesenti. Al suo interno si può ammirare la cappella del Sacro Cuore, opera di Antonio Bibiena, e diverse tele rinascimentali.
Beautiful church! It was expressly wanted by Vespasiano Gonzaga in 1562 to replace the old parish church. The architect Pietro Martire Pesenti was called to build it. Inside you can admire the chapel of the Sacred Heart, the work of Antonio Bibiena, and several Renaissance paintings.

Se suonano mentre sei in chiesa, senti il pavimento vibrare.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Per volontà del parroco o di chi per lui, questa chiesa è aperta "a spizzico magnifico" e solo in immediata concomitanza delle funzioni religiose.
La facciata è particolare e molto carina.
L'interno, con poca luce, fa intravedere nei suoi ornamenti l'epoca in cui fu edificata, ma senza raggiungerne le vette.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sabbioneta merita di certo una visita! È il sogno di Vespasiano Gonzaga che nell’arco di 35 anni, dal 1556 al 1591, anno della sua morte nella stessa Sabbioneta, costruisce la sua città ideale secondo i canoni rinascimentali.
Vivendo a Parma, pochi kilometri da Sabbioneta, l’ho visitata diverse volte perché davvero affascinante !!
Oggi sono andata, ma era ormai fine giornata e tutti i luoghi di visita erano chiusi. Le foto sono dunque solo in esterno, ma vale la pena visitare tutti i luoghi più significativi: la galleria, il teatro, le chiese e la sinagoga.
Oggi, però, ho avuto la sensazione di una città museo, assolutamente inchiodata nel proprio ruolo. Si sentiva la mancanza di vita

I went today, but it was the end of the day and all the places to visit were closed. The photos are therefore only outdoors, but it is worth visiting all the most significant places: the gallery, the theater, the churches and the synagogue.
