Possiede uno scenografico prospetto settecentesco con elementi tardo-manieristici e barocchi. L'interno, a tre navate divise da colonne, è adorno di stucchi e affreschi: l'ornamento dell'abside è opera dei castelvetranesi Nicola e Gaspare Curti e risale al 1746. Ad Olivio Sozzi si attribuisce invece l'imponente dipinto destinato all’altare maggiore, raffigurante la Trinità, la Vergine e le Anime Sante del Purgatorio, ora collocato nella Chiesa Madre. Nella parte interna della chiesa, nel periodo natalizio, è possibile ammirare il magnifico presepe meccanico, realizzato con materiali naturali quali sughero, pietre, tronchi, piante grasse, muschio ed erba. Mediante l’utilizzo di congegni meccanici viene ricreato l’evento della nascita di Gesù Cristo. The Church of Purgatory was built between 1642 and 1664 on the site of a previous church. It has a scenographic eighteenth-century façade with late-mannerist and baroque elements. The interior, with three naves divided by columns, is adorned with stuccos and frescoes: the ornamentation of the apse is the work of Castelvetranesi Nicola and Gaspare Curti and dates back to 1746. The imposing painting intended for the main altar, depicting the Trinity, the Virgin and the Holy Souls of Purgatory, now located in the Mother Church. In the internal part of the church, during the Christmas period, it is possible to admire the magnificent mechanical nativity scene, made with natural materials such as cork, stones, trunks, succulents, moss and grass. Through the use of mechanical devices the event of the birth of Jesus Christ is recreated.

La facciata è stata rifatta nel XVIII secolo e riporta elementi barocchi. Built in the second half of the seventeenth century on the site of an earlier church of the thirteenth century. The façade was rebuilt in the 18th century and contains Baroque elements.
