S. Maria Notizie Storiche XI (menzione carattere generale) Dell'antico e glorioso passato di San Mango se ne conservano pochi resti tra cui la chiesa di S. Maria. L'edificio risale all’ XI secolo, diverse notizie sull'edifico risalgono al 1288. DescrizioneL'edificio religioso presenta la facciata principale prospettante su uno slargo pedonale. Semplice nelle linee e nelle forme ha il portone d'ingresso in legno incorniciato in un portale in pietra ad arco ribassato. In asse con il portone un'effige sacra rappresentata in una cornice di forma circolare in rilievo sulla facciata stessa. Una targa riporta la data A.D. 2010 della benedizione del parroco. La copertura è a falde inclinate con manto di tegole in laterizio. La pianta è rettangolare, ad una sola navata. Due gradini separano l'aula liturgica dall'abside. Ai due lati dell'arco trionfale ci sono due nicchie. La nicchia sulla destra del visitatore ospita la statua di S. Antonio mentre a sinistra la statua di San Gerardo. Il soffitto dell'aula liturgica è piano, mentre l'abside è voltato con fregi in stucco. Sulle pareti laterali un cornicione con modanature aggettanti interrompe la verticalità della navata. Su entrambe le pareti laterali della navata vi sono due altari minori.

On both side walls of the nave there are two minor altars.
