M	Mario Piscini on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Per chi non è ancora transitato per Nepi,lo consiglio vivamente perché e un posto incantevole con il Duomo che si affaccia su una incantevole piazzetta non molto distante dalla piazza del comune altrettanto piacevole dove trovare rinfresco la sera magari con un buon gelato For those who have not yet passed through Nepi, I highly recommend it because it is an enchanting place with the Duomo overlooking a charming little square not far from the town square equally pleasant where you can find refreshments in the evening perhaps with a good ice cream

Affrescata e molto tenuta bene, d' inverno si può ammirare il presepe che risulta essere il più grande del paese di Nepi. Cathedral of the town of Nepi, symbol and main church for every type of celebration (weddings, communions, confirmations, baptisms, and funerals) expands in the historic center of Nepi and is characterized by its length and height. Frescoed and very well kept, in winter you can admire the crib that is the largest in the town of Nepi.

Nel complesso vale la Pena visitarlo anche se tenuto non bene. Un vero peccato. Very nice cathedral. Beyond the central nave there are four more naves, two on each side. Splendid facade. Overall it is worth visiting it even if it is not well kept. Such a pity.

Benché mostri purtroppo gli evidenti segni del tempo, stupisce per le sue dimensioni e per l'esuberanza della decorazione, che ricopre ogni centimetro quadrato delle superfici. L'edificio custodisce numerose opere d'arte, come il trittico del Salvatore di Marcello Venusti, due tavole di Antonio del Massaro, quattro tele di Mattia Preti e tante altre opere pittoriche da non perdere. Splendida la cripta, con numerosi capitelli carichi di simbolismi medievali. Amazing! Although it unfortunately shows the obvious signs of aging, it is surprising for its size and for the exuberance of the decoration, which covers every square centimeter of the surfaces. The building contains numerous works of art, such as the Savior triptych by Marcello Venusti, two tables by Antonio del Massaro, four paintings by Mattia Preti and many other paintings not to be missed. The crypt is splendid, with numerous capitals full of medieval symbolism.
L	Lucia Barbi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bellissimo duomo a 5 navate. Peccato per la facciata, doveva essere davvero molto bella in origine ma non è rimasta tale. L'interno invece vale la pena di essere visitato. Beautiful cathedral with 5 aisles. Too bad for the façade had to be really very nice originally but did not remain such. The interior is worth a visit instead.

Ma la visita è più che giustificata per la meravigliosa cripta romanica, detta ad oratorium, adornata da decine di colonne (molte di spoglio) sulle quali i molteplici capitelli illustrano magnificamente il mondo e le metafore del medioevo. Nepi Cathedral has been renovated several times over the centuries and has perhaps lost its original identity. But the visit is more than justified for the wonderful Romanesque crypt, called ad oratorium, adorned with dozens of columns (many of which are bare) on which the multiple capitals magnificently illustrate the world and the metaphors of the Middle Ages.

Capisco che le cose cambiano ma le chiese di una volta trasmettevano qualcosa di unico che non hanno paragoni con le Chiese odierne ! Da starci giorni ad ammirare ogni piccolo particolare..... Stupendous ! Frescoes on the vaulted ceilings and everywhere you look. I understand that things change but the churches of the past transmitted something unique that have no comparison with today's churches! To spend days admiring every little detail .....
