★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Catania is an old city and the piazza in front may lead you to believe the station is also "malandato"... But no.
The station is well kept and clean and the guys in the bar were friendly and helpful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The information tables don't show information about delays (supposing they are working because they are usually broken). Nobody who you could ask for information or help, 1 person selling tickets (long lines), no access / lift for wheelchairs. Terrible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Appalling accessibility as there is no lift to access platform 2-9, people with mobility needs, wheelchair users and those with heavy luggage would be unable to take these trains.
They even charge you €1 to use the toilet

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Station, compared to the whole city, is cleaner. It has a nice view on the sea from platforms and the nearby fountain is interesting to see. However trains leave as they please, 10min sooner or later that a schedule says - missed 2 trains one morning because of that. Additionally there are no chairs or a coffee place where you can wait for the next one, so you choose one of 4 benches near the fountain or sit simply on the grass.
