★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Agosto. Temo che la Puglia ad agosto perde punti per il sovraffollamento.... castro località piccola, abbarbicata tra cemento e roccie dove trovare parcheggio è un incubo. Bello il mare ma con il caldo affollamento rendono non piacevole l'esperienza
August. I fear that Puglia in August loses points for overcrowding .... castro small town, perched between concrete and rocks where finding parking is a nightmare. The sea is beautiful but with the hot crowds they make the experience unpleasant

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Castro è una piccola cittadina a cui piace definirsi la perla del Salento e che vive di riflesso al mare che la bagna.
Scordatevi qualsivoglia servizio, niente parcheggi, quei pochi posti disponibili sono carissimi e come se non bastasse sono a pagamento anche i parcheggi lontani dalla piazza e dal mare. Per non farsi mancare nulla nei weekend estivi decidono anche di non permettere la sosta, cosa alquanto assurda in quanto in questo periodo il numero di persone interessate a visitare il paesino e il lungomare (lungo? Sarà al max un minuto e mezzo di camminata) è considerevole.
Non parliamo poi di vigili e personale affine che è di una arroganza e maleducazione assurda!
Castro is a small town which likes to define itself as the pearl of Salento and which lives as a reflection of the sea that bathes it.
Forget any service, no parking, those few places available are very expensive and as if that weren't enough, parking lots far from the square and the sea are also subject to a fee. In order not to miss anything on summer weekends they also decide not to allow the stop, which is somewhat absurd since in this period the number of people interested in visiting the village and the promenade (long? It will be a maximum of a minute and a half walk) is considerable.
We are not talking about firefighters and related personnel which is an absurd arrogance and rudeness!
