Va tenuto presente per tutto il percorso che i restauri sono appena cominciati e che la ricchezza artistica di Lagnasco ha imposto scelte dure e una scala di priorità. Per questo troverete ambienti in condizioni eccellenti accanto ad altri che sono stati appena saggiati o che mostrano in pieno il loro degrado. L’ultima famiglia che viveva nei castelli dal secondo dopoguerra se n’è andata solo nel 2011 e sotto strati di tinteggiature emergono ancora oggi cicli decorativi di eccellente qualità.La parte più antica del complesso è il castello est nella quale presterete particolare attenzione alla cosiddetta Sala degli Stemmi e alla Loggia delle Grottesche. La prima mostra una galleria di stemmi di grande ampiezza che rappresenta il panorama politico dell’epoca di Gaspare Tapparelli (seconda metà del XV secolo) e contemporaneamente racconta, attraverso pannelli figurati del soffitto a cassettoni, episodi della vita quotidiana di allora, proverbi e letture, animali immaginari. L impatto estrrno è negativo le facciate sono molto degradate. Il complesso avrebbe bisogno di molti interventi di riqualificazione . prima si visita la parte est piu antica e in peggior stato .Poi si passa a quello ovest meglio conservato e piu interessante .Si termina con la visita ai giardini in cui sono coltivate piante aromatiche . Il castello ad ovest ospita una pinacoteca con opere di Carra Gottuso De Pisis De Chirico . Particolari le decorazioni dei soffitti a cassettoni . Il biglietto per la visita 7 euro un po caro .
