 Pleasant place, near Lorenzago di Cadore, used several times by John Paul II between 1987 and the 90s as a summer vacation spot. Di enjoys a beautiful view of the kisses or the Piave river.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Castello davvero bello e ben attrezzato in un luogo incantevole. Sede di ritiri spirituali e campi scuola, dispone anche di 2 dependance con molte camere da letto. Proprio a qualche centinaia di metri si trova la casa dove Giovanni Paolo II ha soggiornato più volte. Un posto a cui sono davvero molto affezionata e in cui torno sempre molto volentieri
A really beautiful and well-equipped castle in a charming place. Home to spiritual retreats and school camps, it also has 2 annexes with many bedrooms. Just a few hundred meters away is the house where John Paul II has stayed several times. A place to which I am really very attached and in which I always return very willingly

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un suggestivo castello stile ottocento nel bel mezzo del bosco. Ci siamo stati con dei ragazzi per fare un campo scuola, in tutto eravamo circa una settantina di persone tra animati, animatori e cuochi.
Ci sono due enormi chalet che fungono da dormitori e se manca posto il castello accoglie numerose persone nelle sue stanze.
A suggestive nineteenth century style castle in the middle of the woods. We went there with some boys to make a school camp, in all we were about seventy people including animators, animators and cooks.
There are two huge chalets which serve as dormitories and if there is no space the castle welcomes many people to its rooms.

Tra gli altri, Giosuè Carducci che nell'ode "Cadore" dedicò questi versi al paese: ... "e Lorenzago aprica tra i campi declivi che d'alto la valle nel mezzo domina". In epoca recente proprietà della diocesi di Treviso, ebbe il privilegio di accogliere in vacanza, nell'attigua villetta, papa Giovanni Paolo II - per ben sei volte - e papa Benedetto XVI. I dintorni sono incantevoli.
Built by the Milanese count Giovanni Facheris, senator of the kingdom of Italy, it hosted illustrious people over time. Among others, Giosuè Carducci who in the ode "Cadore" dedicated these verses to the town: ... "and Lorenzago opens up among the sloping fields that dominate the valley in the middle from above". In recent times, property of the diocese of Treviso, it had the privilege of welcoming Pope John Paul II - six times - and Pope Benedict XVI on vacation in the adjacent villa. The surroundings are lovely.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bellissima passeggiata in mezzo ai boschi con diverse tappe e panchine per chi si stanca facilmente in salita! Da rifare sicuramente ... sempre posti incantevoli quelli dove fatichi un po' per arrivare a destinazione! Bello bello anche il castello!
Beautiful walk in the woods with several stages and benches for those who get tired easily uphill! Definitely to be redone ... always enchanting places those where you struggle a little to get to your destination! The castle is also beautiful!
