È passato attraverso varie vicissitudini nel tempo e dal 1982 e' gestito dal comune di Rivarolo Canavese, che lo ha aperto al pubblico e vi organizza eventi. È in parte medievale ed in parte ottocentesco. Ha un percorso di visita piacevole e suggestivo spaziando tra sale trecentesche, quattrocentesche e del 1800. È immerso nel verde dell*omonimo parco con il vicino torrente Orco. All'interno del castello ci sono spesso mostre o attività di vario genere. All'interno del parco in un ampio giardino si può godere dell'aria fresca e stare in compagnia. Vi è anche un piccolo bar aperto in estate ed una zona per l'addestramento cani. The castle is a point of reference for the locals but also for tourists. There is also a small bar open in summer and a dog training area.

È proprietà del comune e viene gestito da un’associazione di volontari molto preparati. Il castello è stato ristrutturato nel tempo e i segni sono evidenti. Molto bello comunque, un castello di campagna semplice. Very beautiful castle visited on the occasion of the patronal feast of Rivarolo.
