E' un complesso magnifico, solo che non è più visitabile da anni e in stato di abbandono. Completa il castello il borgo di triana, la chiesa parrocchiale, anch' essa chiusa. Comunque ne vale una visita. Storia: dall'anno 776 si ha ricordo nei documenti dell'Abbazia di S. Salvador del borgo di Triana. Nel secolo XII e XIII il castello fu dominato dagli Aldobrandeschi, che nel 1338 lo cedettero ai Piccolomini di Siena. Il torrione ortogonale mantiene la forma originale. Furono aggiunti nel tempo un'altra torre, una Cappella gentilizia seicentesca e altri due fabbricati. L'ultimo discendente della nobile famiglia, conte Silvio Piccolomini, è morto nel 1962: da questa data il castello è passato alle Pie Opere di Siena, successivamente una parte è stato utilizzata dalla diocesi di Pitigliano_Sovana come centro culturale e campo scuola estivo. the castle of Triana was of the Piccolomini, inside is the last descendant, Count Silvio, is buried. V	Valentina Mecacci on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bellissima terrazza sulla Maremma e sul Monte Labro. Panorami eccezionali, peccato che sia sempre chiuso e tenuto malino. La parte più antica è pericolante, la parte adibita a fattoria è privata abitazione quindi non visitabile. Beautiful terrace overlooking the Maremma and Mount Labro.
