Arcangeli Strozzavolpe che oltre ad essere uno studioso d’arte ha manifestato un grande amore per la struttura con le vigne che la circondano. Ci siamo ripromessi di fare una visita al più presto, chissà se ci farà vedere l’interno del castello, tiene molto alla privacy ma sarebbe un grande onore. Complimenti per la bellissima dimora Today I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Arcangeli Strozzavolpe who in addition to being an art scholar has shown a great love for the structure and the vineyards that surround it. We promised ourselves to pay a visit as soon as possible, who knows if he will show us the inside of the castle, he is very interested in privacy but it would be a great honor. Si narra che nelle notti di luna piena vaghi nei dintorni il fantasma di una volpe.L'anima vagherebbe per colpa di Bonifacio IV di Toscana che la strozzò con un laccio perché faceva scappare anche i cavalieri più coraggiosi sputandogli addosso fiamme (povera volpe) e costruì il castello. Il mago di corte predisse che il castello sarebbe esistito fino a quando il corpo del povero animale si sarebbe conservato e così Bonifacio la fece imbalsamare riempiendola di oro fuso e la nascose nelle mura della torre . Un 'altra leggenda narra che nella camera rossa del castello gli amanti Cassandra de Franceschi e un paggio di suo marito vennero scoperti e murati per sempre all'interno della camera . Si dice che ancora oggi si possa sentirne la presenza. Too bad you can't visit it. It is said that on full moon nights the ghost of a fox wanders in the surroundings. Dalla località il Bernino siamo partiti in Mtb salendo per la strada dei cipressi di Luco arrivando a questo meraviglioso castello. Abbiamo girato tutto intorno e passando dalla strada tra gli oliveti siamo discesi in località Gavignano e località Poggiagrilli. Paesaggi mozzafiato! Beautiful place, unfortunately it was not possible to visit it. From the locality the Bernino we set off on a Mtb going up the road of the cypresses of Luco arriving at this wonderful castle. We went all around and passing from the road among the olive groves we went down to Gavignano and Poggiagrilli. Breathtaking landscapes!
f	franco berardi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Do solo tre stelle in quanto non si può visitare. La zona è bellissima, ricca di sentieri, vigneti, ideale x video con droni. Esiste anche passando dal terreno del castello un sentiero che porta all'arco delle fate, purtroppo crollato un paio di anni fa. Se lasciate sotto la macchina e salite a piedi ,bella passeggiata. I only give three stars as it cannot be visited. The area is beautiful, full of trails, vineyards, ideal for video with drones. There is also, passing from the castle grounds, a path that leads to the arch of the fairies, unfortunately collapsed a couple of years ago. If you leave the car underneath and go up on foot, nice walk.
