Great authentic Italien food. Servers where friendly and professional. Not all spoke English. Rustic grabbing ambiance. Pricy but worth it. Location was hard to find but worth it at the end. Great for families and large events as well.

Excellent rustic Italian restaurant in a big property in the country. We went for lunch and they had a fixed menu. We sat on the upper terrace and were immediately served water ans a half litre of red wine. Lunch was antipasto of cured.meat and crostini, then they served a hand made Pici with butter and pepper, then a taglietelle ragu, then a pork shank and baked fish...finished with a glass of Vin Santo and cake and coffee. Wall only €25 per person. Was a steal. Excellent food and service. Highly recommend even if you have to travel a.bit off thr beaten path.

One of the best meals I have ever eaten! Could not recommend this place highly enough, if you are anywhere near GO! Great food, great location, fantastic and friendly staff. Could not fault a single thing, I've been raving about it ever since we at lunch there :-)

Absolute hidden gem - definitely worth a stop. There is no menu and everyone we encountered only spoke Italian, but the quality of food on offer was sublime. My girlfriend and I had 2 courses (no wine) and it came to €35 total. Absolute bargain, definitely recommend a stop!

I went to this restaurant with my family and my boyfriend. I used to come here in summer and had great memories. The food used to be great and so the service! This restaurant is quite the opposite now! The room were we had lunch was really hot and uncomfortable! We had a reservation made by my sister weeks in advance! The waiters were rude, completely unprofessional! They never came to clean the floor after one of the crostini felt in front of the young male waiter. I almost felt when I went to the bathroom and my purse get dirty because the floor was a mess! We had a young female and male waitress/writer! My mother asked for a knife when the steak was served and she never get it. She asked 3 times !!! She barrow my father knife! They brought us the salad after the steak was served and finished. We had to remind them of it also because they clearly forgot it. When the salad arrived at the table they never brought the utensile to serve ourself! When my father went to pay with his credit card they claimed their card reader was not working! Probably to avoid paying the small fee applied to restaurant for the service! The food was horrible! I had a Chianina IGP in Florence with my boyfriend the day prior this restaurant visit and The Tagliata meat here was so bad in quality! The crostini were alright nothing special and the pasta was hand made so it was good in quality but unpleasantly dry because the sauce was very little!!! It was really hard to enjoy the meal and my father found out this place was sold so the original founders are gone now and so the quality they offered in the past! Stay away and go elsewhere this place truly sucks!

9 on a scale of 1-10 for location: a little breeze inside, pretty and simple, really enjoyable. Food is good enough, the Italian scale is just really competitive. I would choose a pasta and coffee. On Sundays they have a fixed menu, 30€ for adults, 15€ for kids, it’s a bit too much though and doesn’t add to the simple pasta plus coffee.

This is one of my favorite places in Italy. The scenery is breathtaking. The staff is incredibly welcoming. The FOOD is always phenomenal. The castle offers traditional medieval architecture with all the amenities of the 21st century. I have gone here for the past three years and highly recommend to those who are anywhere nearby. Definitley worth making the trip from Florence to eat here and even to stay!
