È raggiungibile a piedi o in macchina.
It can be reached on foot or by car. Table and benches available for a meal. The view over the Val Meduna and the Castello di Toppo is very suggestive. At the foot of the castle, part II path that leads to the Cret, and crosses the Col Palis, without too many gradients. Suitable for children. There are two panoramic points where you can admire the morainic hills of the Ragogna-Arba fault, Sequals and the Meduna bed.

A very nice place for a walk. From the ruins there are fantastic views of the mountains and the surrounding area.

More than a castle it looks like a tower with a stone wall. If you are in those parts it is worth taking a stroll on foot.

A well-restored ruin, cut grass, well-kept stone road. The panorama of the upper Meduna valley is beautiful, an excellent destination for a bike ride, with the final stretch on foot

The first mention of the Castello di Solimbergo dates back to the 1196. It was progressively abandoned by its last owners from the 14th-15th centuries and now only ruins of the central tower, part of the external wall and one of the gates survive. Considering the size of the tower, it seems likely that the Castle had mainly a defense function and probably served as a look-out spot on the valley, together with the Castello di Toppo, which you can clearly see from here, looking north. In 2011 works of deforestation and consolidation have been made and now the Castle is freely open to the public.

Child friendly hike that you can take at your own pace ending in great views. Easy access with moderate slopes to beautiful ruins. Definitely worth the drive, and not too far from some great restaurants and bars in town!
