Una lunga passeggiata fra gli aranceti carichi di frutti. Una vera delizia per gli occhi, ed anche per la gola. Immersici nella profonda insenatura della Gola del Lupo, fra paesaggi selvaggi ed incontaminati, abbiamo ammirato dal basso il Castello che domina la vallata e ci siamo soffermati per una colazione a sacco in un incredibile aranceto, incastonato profondamente nella Gola, vicino al corso del fiume Verdura, quasi surreale per la sua collocazione in un luogo selvaggio ed incontaminato. Abbiamo poi ripreso la salita per ammirare il Castello dall'alto, in un panorama mozzafiato che ci mostrava il percorso del Verdura nel suo ultimo tratto fino al mare dopo essere uscito dalla profonda Gola del Lupo. Una meraviglia che non ti aspetti! We arrived in sight of the Castle of Poggio Diana after a pleasant trek departing from the Villa Comunale di Ribera. A long walk among the orange groves full of fruit. A real treat for the eyes, and also for the throat. Immersed in the deep inlet of the Gola del Lupo, among wild and uncontaminated landscapes, we admired the Castle that dominates the valley from below and we stopped for a packed breakfast in an incredible orange grove, nestled deeply in the Gola, near the course of the Verdura river. , almost surreal due to its location in a wild and uncontaminated place. We then resumed the climb to admire the Castle from above, in a breathtaking view that showed us the path of Verdura in its last stretch to the sea after exiting the deep Gola del Lupo. A wonder you don't expect!

Dopo un minimo accenno di ristrutturazione, risalente a diversi anni fa, nulla più è stato fatto per questo bellissimo castello, davvero un peccato. Beautiful but like many other places, even the castle of Poggiodiana is in a state of complete abandonment, thus also constituting a danger for the safety of those who visit it. After a slight hint of renovation, dating back to several years ago, nothing more has been done for this beautiful castle, a real shame.

Very charming, fantastic view .. I recommend going to the cave that you see next to the waterfall, to be careful but it's worth it!
M	Manuel “gOOLY” Gulino on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Facile da trovare, anche se c'è il rischio di sconfinare nei terreni privati (al bivio proseguire a destra). C'è una salita di 2-3 minuti da fare a piedi e non esistono parcheggi vicini. Non è tenuto bene e le scale in legno per accedere all'interno sono mezze rotte e ci sono dei chiodi arrugginiti esposti. Bisogna fare attenzione. Per il resto il castello è carino da visitare, non abbiamo trovato i "sotterranei" come abbiamo sentito dire esistono. Easy to find, even if there is the risk of trespassing on private land (at the junction go right). There is a 2-3 minute climb to do on foot and there are no nearby parking lots. It is not kept well and the wooden stairs to access the interior are half broken and there are exposed rusty nails. Care must be taken. For the rest the castle is nice to visit, we have not found the "underground" as we have heard say they exist.
