★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In vista del maniero ci sono diverse riflessioni da porsi: posizionamento, finestrature a solatio mancanti, difesa, approvvigionamento acqua ecc e collocarlo nel tempo.
Stabilizzare i grandi ruderi ma non pensare di ricostruirlo.
 In view of the manor there are several reflections to ask: positioning, missing sun windows, defense, water supply etc. and place it over time.
Stabilize the great ruins but don't think about rebuilding it.

E' stato delimitato da una recinzione ed e' vietato l'accesso all'interno delle mure perche' sussistono pericoli di crollo .... anche da fuori conserva comunque un certo fascino . La strada e' asfaltata fino a circa 300 m dal castello stesso . Poi bisogna proseguire a piedi .
It became private property. It was delimited by a fence and access to the inside of the walls is forbidden because there are dangers of collapse .... even from the outside it still retains a certain charm. The road is paved up to about 300 m from the castle itself. Then you have to continue on foot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un Castello ? Storico in un Punto Strategico di controllo dell'inizio delle Valli del Natisone, come anche verso la pianura friulana ed in primis verso l'inizio in zona Purgessimo della Periferia dei Cividale del Friuli presente in tutti i contesti storici.
Ultimamente i ruderi del Castello sono stati invasi dall'incedere della vegetazione boschiva ed ha perso un po' di quel fascino medioevale di roccaforte.
Fa parte ed è Tabellato e mappato nella rete dei Castelli del Friulani.
Il Castello ? di Gronumergo è anche in comunicazione cosidetta in linea #visiva con altri Castelli presenti nella zona sui versanti delle montagne delle PreAlpi Giulie.
A ? Historical Castle in a Strategic Control Point at the beginning of the Natisone Valleys, as well as towards the Friuli plain and above all towards the beginning in the Purgessimo area of the Cividale del Friuli suburbs present in all historical contexts.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un luogo molto affascinante se si pensa anche alla storia che c'è dietro. Purtroppo non ci sono punti di ristoro e le stradine intorno al castello hanno un po di erbacce che invadono in alcuni punti la strada. Si può entrare nel castello e può sembrare instabile in alcuni punti, ma nonostante questo mi è piaciuto.
A very fascinating place if you also think about the history behind it. Unfortunately there are no refreshment points and the streets around the castle have a bit of weeds that invade the road in some places. You can enter the castle and it can seem unstable in places, but I still liked it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Del Castello rimangono solo le 4 mura principali da visitare a rischio personale poiché circondate da avvisi di pericolo di crollo e cumuli di sassi sparsi all'interno ove crescono alberi, poiché il tetto è crollato da decenni. La via migliore, per raggiungere i resti del Castello sorto nel lontano 1160, è un sentiero CAI che inizia dalla strada che costeggia il Natisone subito dopo Purgessimo. Peccato che ormai non è possibile neanche immaginare il ponte levatoio all'ingresso principale... Buona passeggiata, possibilmente col bel tempo...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The whole area is restricted because of the possibility of its collapse, as only debris remain of the structure. Nevertheless, its location and history make this castle very much worth the easy path to reach it. Recommend
