Stunning 13th century castle set high upon the hill overlooking this lovely village! Monet even painted the Castello and the bridge.

A small town 10 km north of Ventimiglia, the old part of town has sold castle looking down from a hill side. Walking around Dolceacqua is amazing narrow paths behind buildings, under buildings gives a vibe of the past on how to life would have been in medieval town. There are snap shops, galleries in these narrow paths. Dolceacqua is more than a castle and a old town,Dolceacqua is famous for its olive oil EVO one of best all of Liguria abd the Rossese grapes that only grows in two valleys and is delicious, a must to taste on your food bucket list. The olive oil and wine is available in the old shops, get the Rossese that been in Oak casket for at least one year.

Nice castle. Great viewing over the valley. 6 euro entrance. Worthy. WC. You will use easy 20 minutes here. Depends if you will see the movies and art.

Well preserved old castle, restored and multi-purposed serving the whole area with arts displays, a room for local events such as a rose show when I was there, and vast open areas. The views are spectacular. A must see when in Dolceacqua. Tickets are inexpensive and well worth the price.

Very interesting town up a stream off the Italian Riviera. Visiting the castle is well worth the fee of EUR 8 in fall 2021. Grand panoramic views. Church is also worth visiting.
