Having come to the castle by chance, we took part in a guided tour with the local tourist board. The place is lovely and the guides are passionate about the area. Fantastic.

Bellissimo il parco e la cinta muraria, in buona parte percorribile, da cui si domina un grandioso panorama fa Capo d'Orlando lato Messina a Cefalù verso Palermo con l'incanto di tutte 7 le Isole Eolie di fronte. Integral castle, anything but a ruin, full of signs of history. The park and the walls, most of which are practicable, from which a magnificent panorama is overlooked make Capo d'Orlando on the Messina side of Cefalù towards Palermo with the enchantment of all the 7 Aeolian Islands in front.

Proprietà privata, visibile solo dall'estero. Well preserved ancient castle. Accessible from the characteristic streets of Caronia, unparalleled view towards the Nebrodis and the sea with the Aeolian islands. Private property, visible only from abroad.

La parte storicoarchitettonica di grande pregio è interna al Castello ma...... Si può tentare di prendere appuntamento per una visita guidata ma è solo un tentativo. Little to comment on Private castle externally, the walls and alleys that creep into the historic heart of the small town in Nebrodense are appreciated, the area where the visitor arrives after having traveled the last "vanedda" is very suggestive. The historical and architectural part of great value is inside the Castle but ...... You can try to make an appointment for a guided tour but it is only an attempt.

Ottima visuale e panorama mozzafiato. The castle of Caronia is located at the top of the village. So much effort to reach it on foot and you cannot visit it because it is private. ? Excellent view and breathtaking panorama.
M	Martino Rossello on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Di pianta rettangolare con avancorpo sporgente, anche se cronologicamente anteriore, appare stilisticamente affine alla Zisa e alla Cuba, celebri palazzi di delizie e sollazzi, eretti nella capitale dai successori di Ruggero II. La disposizione degli ambienti interni è simmetrica (una sala centrale più ampia e due sale minori laterali) e si ripete sia nel piano nobile (destinato ad abitazione) sia in quello terreno (ingresso e magazzini). La cappella è a tre navate come quella Palatina di Palermo, a differenza di tutte le altre cappelle palatiali normanne che ne hanno una soltanto. Di proprietà privata, non è purtroppo accessibile al pubblico. Rectangular in plan with protruding forepart, although chronologically earlier, it appears stylistically similar to the Zisa and Cuba, famous palaces of delight and amusement, erected in the capital by the successors of Roger II. The layout of the interiors is symmetrical (a larger central hall and two smaller lateral rooms) and is repeated both on the main floor (intended for housing) and on the ground floor (entrance and warehouses). The chapel has three naves like the Palatine one in Palermo, unlike all the other Norman palatial chapels which have only one. Privately owned, it is unfortunately not accessible to the public.

È un abitazione privata , curata benissimo sono rimasta sorpresa dal giardino esterno! The castle of Caronia is reachable on foot along a series of characteristic alleys and streets is a wonderful place, very well kept with a breathtaking view. It is a private house, well looked after and I was surprised by the outdoor garden!
