Reca ancora i segni di un uso, anche piuttosto recente, come locale notturno The castle is imposing but is in a state of abandonment and decay. Molto suggestivo alla vista, e con un po' di fantasia i bambini immaginano re, regine e draghi. Peccato che sia un po' trascurato nella manutenzione. Speriamo che qualcuno si dia da fare per sistemarlo e dargli nuova vita. Located in Sangineto Lido, it is located along a main road, next to a children's park. Nel 1605 passò ai Majorana e quindi ai Firrao che lo tennero fino alla eversione feudale”. Il castello, realizzato in pietra locale appena sbozzata con abbondante malta, presenta pianta geometrica regolare con quattro torri cilindriche nei vertici “di sezione diversa e con ponte levatoio e controscarpa su cui poggiano le torri circolari, alcune coronate ancora da merli. Nel VXIII sec. si arricchì di un loggiato sul lato rivolto verso il mare”. Il cortile interno è molto spazioso ed è possibile salire ai piani superiori attraverso una scale a due rampe, inoltre molto caratteristiche sono le diverse arcate presenti all'interno della fortificazione. In passato al castello era possibile accedere esclusivamente dal ponte levatoio oggi sostituito da un ponte in legno. Il castello ebbe funzione di carcere durante la prima guerra mondiale.
