D	Danilo Siragusa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un posto meraviglioso che nel suo totale stato di abbandono racconta un episodio della battaglia del ponte primo sole combattuta da paracadutisti inglesi contro i paracadutisti tedeschi e soldati italiani. Il castello era un punto di osservazione tedesco che venne conquistato dagli inglesi. Successivamente venne colpito da un colpo di cannone tedesco che ne distrusse la torre alta circa trenta metri. A quanto pare non morì nessun inglese perché era l'ora del tè e le guardie erano impegnate nel loro break pomeridiano ? Un'altra curiosità su questo luogo riguarda la presenza di fantasmi, a quanto dicono sì udirebbero rumori di spari e si vedrebbero delle ombre aggirarsi tra le stanze in rovina. Noi abbiamo dormito una notte sul sito e posso garantire che è stata una nottata piacevolissima in un luogo meraviglioso anche dal punto naturalistico. Le uniche presenze sono state le lucertole e tre cagnolini che ci hanno fatto compagnia. Dispiace purtroppo vedere questa splendida costruzione in rovina e piena di immondizia, utilizzata come discarica abusiva. Merita una visita se vi piacciono questo tipo di luoghi ma è fuori mano, in mezzo al nulla e di certo non troverete una guida a descrivervi la storia dell'edificio e dei suoi proprietari. We slept one night on the site and I can guarantee that it was a very pleasant night in a wonderful place also from a naturalistic point of view. The only appearances were the lizards and three dogs who kept us company. Unfortunately, we are sorry to see this splendid building in ruins and full of garbage, used as an illegal landfill. Well worth a visit if you like this kind of place but it is out of the way, in the middle of nowhere and you certainly won't find a guide to describe the history of the building and its owners.
S	Seby Piazza on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ È un peccato non valorizzare un edificio storico come questo castello che essendo aperto a tutti non è in sicurezza tanto meno non c' è neppure un insegna o una segnaletica che ne indica la sua esistenza. Il secondo conflitto lo ha seriamente danneggiato, l'incuria e i vandali hanno fatto il resto. Poteva essere assorbito dal comprensorio faunistico dell'osso del simeto che comprende torre allegra ed altri edifici e vecchie masserie rimesse a nuovo. Ma evidentemente ci saranno vincoli burocratici da dipanare. Ciononostante rimane così com'è con il suo fascino, la sua storia, è il pericolo crollo per chi si vorrebbe addentrarsi all'interno. It is a pity not to enhance a historic building like this castle which, being open to all, is not safe, much less there is not even a sign or signage that indicates its existence. The second conflict seriously damaged it, neglect and vandals did the rest. It could have been absorbed by the faunal area of the simeto bone which includes cheerful tower and other buildings and old refurbished farms. But obviously there will be bureaucratic constraints to unravel. Nevertheless it remains as it is with its charm, its history, it is the danger of collapse for those who would like to go inside.
