M	Michele Carrara on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Di oasi non ha più molto, andrebbe ripulita e sistemata e potrebbe essere una ottima attrazione turistica. Per chi vuole fare una passeggiata anche in bici è ok. It doesn't have much of an oasis anymore, it should be cleaned up and fixed up and could be an excellent tourist attraction. For those who want to take a walk even by bike it is ok.

C'è un tratto del fiume Simeto, dove la gente usa questo luogo come discarica. Tante lattine di mais lasciate lungo il fiume. Tra quello che ho letto e visto c'è un po' di incoerenza. Peccato! On April 17th, I went for a walk along the road that leads to the statue of Christ. There is a stretch of the Simeto River where people use this place as a landfill. Lots of corn cans left by the river. There is a bit of inconsistency between what I have read and seen. Sin!
S	Simone li calzi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Posto molto bello, soprattutto in questo periodo in cui fiorisce la Sulla ed attorno ai sentieri i campi sono tutti rossi. Capita di vedere volare L'Aquila Minore. Però non è vero che è aperto H24 , ieri due guardie del luogo mi hanno scortato fuori un'ora prima del tramonto. Very nice place, especially in this period when the Sulla blooms and the fields are all red around the paths. It happens to see the Lesser Eagle fly. But it is not true that it is open 24 hours a day, yesterday two local guards escorted me out an hour before sunset.

ATTENZIONE: se volete visitare la foce, dove impostare su Google Maps come destinazione "Primosole beach" e posteggiare prima del cancello. La zona segnata su Google Maps come "Oasi del Simeto" è quella dove invece si possono fare piacevoli passeggiate a piedi e in bici, oltre al birdwatching dalle apposite vedette. A corner of paradise recently reclaimed and cleaned of most of the garbage. ATTENTION: if you want to visit the mouth, set "Primosole beach" as your destination on Google Maps and park before the gate. The area marked on Google Maps as "Oasi del Simeto" is the one where you can take pleasant walks and bike rides, as well as bird watching from the special lookouts.
F	Filippo M. R. Tusa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Piacevolissima Oasi vicina a Catania (15 minuti di strada dal centro via SS) appena dopo la Playa. Il luogo si presenta nuovo e ben curato. Dopo l'ingresso sulla strada, troverete un parcheggio non molto ampio ma capace di accogliere una discreta affluenza. La struttura presenta un'area ristoro con tavolini e raccolta differenziata, bagni puliti e macchinette automatiche del caffè e snack. Tramite i percorsi, che si possono percorrere sia a piedi che in bici, si possono raggiungere due punti di osservazioni per birdwatching (un lago e un punto con casupola mimetica in legno che costeggia il Simeto). L'unico appunto non è per la struttura né per la manutenzione ma per gli utenti: la casupola e altre parti, sono state vittime di incendi quindi temporaneamente inagibili. Se volete visitare la foce del Simeto, occorre seguire le indicazioni per Primosole beach. Very pleasant Oasis near Catania (15 minutes by road from the center via SS) just after the Playa. The place is new and well cared for. After entering the street, you will find a car park that is not very large but can accommodate a fair number of visitors. The structure has a dining area with tables and separate waste collection, clean bathrooms and automatic coffee and snack machines. Through the paths, which can be covered both on foot and by bike, you can reach two observation points for birdwatching (a lake and a point with a wooden camouflage hut that runs along the Simeto). The only complaint is not for the structure or for the maintenance but for the users: the hut and other parts were victims of fires and therefore temporarily unusable. If you want to visit the mouth of the Simeto, follow the signs for Primosole beach.
B	Beáta Farkas on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ridiculous ‘reserved area’. The perfect example of stealing money. The toilet is seemingly new (or at least the walls etc.), but they never clean it. The tables are only in Italian, there is constructional waste everywhere, and it was soooo important to bring 20 kV to the centre that they managed to do it under the ground (once again, protected area…). I am deeply saddened that they call this nature protection.

The combination of the sea and the river results in a diverse collection of flora and fauna. Come for the quiet and beauty, and wonder at the colors and peacefulness.
