Unspoiled nature. Nature reserve where they breed horses for the carabinieri. It is managed by the forestry. Beautiful Maremma.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un posto da favola, esteticamente inarrivabile, purtroppo chiuso al pubblico e visibile solo dall'esterno. Ma vale comunque la pena vederlo. Bellissimo e importante allevamento di cavalli maremmani nei pressi.
A fairytale place, aesthetically unreachable, unfortunately closed to the public and visible only from the outside. But it's still worth seeing. Beautiful and important Maremma horse breeding nearby.

I famosi canaloni non sono tanto lontano e pure vicino sono le terme di petriolo

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il complesso è situato in un contesto paesaggistico eccezionale, quale la Val di Farma. La struttura purtroppo non conserva alcuna testimonianza del castello medievale, in quanto è stata completamente sconvolta nella seconda metà del XIX da un terrificante intervento edilizio in stile Gothic Revival. La cosa ancora più triste è il fatiscente stato di conservazione attuale dell'edificio: di proprietà statale dagli anni '70, fu sommariamente restaurato al tempo, e successivamente (in perfetto stile italiano) abbandonato a se stesso senza un progetto concreto di utilizzo e valorizzazione.
The complex is located in an exceptional landscape context, such as the Val di Farma. Unfortunately, the structure does not retain any evidence of the medieval castle, as it was completely disrupted in the second half of the nineteenth century by a terrifying Gothic Revival style building intervention. The saddest thing is the dilapidated state of conservation of the building: state-owned since the 70s, it was summarily restored at the time, and subsequently (in perfect Italian style) abandoned to itself without a concrete project of use and enhancement .
