★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I pochissimi resti dell'antico castrum (si pensa che sia stato costruito intorno al 1050 da Ottone di Biandrate) sono oggi sparsi nel bosco nei dintorni della chiesa di san Silvestro. Se sono visibili è solo per la recente opera di "pulizia" fatta da un volenteroso abitante di Proh.
D'altra parte, il castello fu raso al suolo nel 1358 (altri storici pensano nel 1362) durante la guerra tra i Visconti ed il Marchese del Monferrato; a quell'epoca era già, oltretutto, in cattive condizioni per il declino degli stessi Conti di Biandrate che ne avevano fatto un'importante posto di controllo del territorio. Non era, quindi, il caso di aspettarsi troppo.
 The very few remains of the ancient castrum (thought to have been built around 1050 by Ottone di Biandrate) are now scattered in the woods around the church of San Silvestro. If they are visible it is only for the recent work of "cleaning" made by a willing resident of Proh.
On the other hand, the castle was razed to the ground in 1358 (other historians think in 1362) during the war between the Visconti and the Marquis of Monferrato; at that time it was already, moreover, in poor condition due to the decline of the Counts of Biandrate who had made it an important place of control of the territory. It was not, therefore, the case to expect too much.
