Castello Camemi

Io e mio marito ci siamo sposati al Castello Camemi a fine agosto ed è stata una FAVOLA. Il castello è un maniero del 1400, riedificato nel 1700 dopo il terremoto, e attualmente è adibito a organizzazione di eventi e hotel di lusso. Che dire… meraviglioso sia di giorno, con i grandi giardini e la piscina, che di sera, tutto illuminato di luci calde e accoglienti. Atmosfera splendida, si respira tranquillità e benessere. Si trova in mezzo al nulla a circa 15 min dal paese più vicino, Vizzini, e questo favorisce il fatto di non avere ne limiti di orario ne di volume della musica. Cosa importante, non fa mai troppo caldo perché essendo a circa 600 m d’altezza soffia sempre una leggera brezza. Abbiamo celebrato il nostro matrimonio in forma civile nel giardino del castello, e il tutto è stato officiato da un nostro caro amico con delega del sindaco… insomma, qui è possibile organizzare esattamente la cerimonia dei propri sogni con valenza legale. Abbiamo anche soggiornato presso le stanze del castello che possono accogliere fino a 35/38 persone, cosa splendida perché ci ha permesso di godere la piscina il giorno prima e la colazione con gli amici la mattina dopo. Passando al personale, un enorme GRAZIE a tutto lo splendido staff del castello: la meravigliosa Nunzia, che ci ha accolto dal primo giorno e seguito passo passo per ogni necessità come una mamma attenta e premurosa <3. Grazie ad Anna, la chef dalle mani d’oro, grazie a Santo, il maitre di sala che non ci ha fatto mancare niente (e che mi ha seguito tutta sera assicurandosi che riuscissi a mangiare qualcosa, un’attenzione delicata e super apprezzata). Grazie a tutto il personale di sala e di cucina, sono stati impeccabili dal primo all’ultimo. Non avremmo potuto scegliere posto migliore per celebrare il nostro giorno <3 Siamo rimasti super soddisfatti e come noi anche tutti i nostri invitati: splendida la location, il cibo, il personale. Davvero, non ci sono parole per descrivere la perfezione di questo posto. SUPER CONSIGLIATO

The property, the food, and the staff were world-class!

A little far from Catania but it has really nice views and they kept the original look of the castle even though they done some renovations.

It's a wonderful Oasis surrounded by nature which invites for long walking. The team of the hotel is super friendly and read your wishes from your lips. We definitely will be back.

We had our wedding at Castello Camemi and it was an amazing day. We live in the UK and even though my partner is Sicilian, it can be stressful organising a wedding from another country. The reason we chose Camemi over the other venues we viewed was Nunzia who organises all the weddings. From the first meeting she reassured us that everything would be fine and was supportive throughout. She provided us with lots of advice and helped make the day so memorable. In fact all the staff were great. Daniele especially helped make the day relaxing for us. He was always on hand to and made sure that we actually got to eat some of the amazing food! Everyone loved the food... all the dishes that Anna, the chef, created were just perfect. The setting, decor, and style really can't be beaten. Camemi is truly beautiful. But it's the team who made the day one we won't forget. We'll certainty be going back at some point... perhaps for our anniversary!

Located in a very quiet and isolated area, with beautiful gardens and a very impressive inner court yard. The outer gardens are green, with beautiful plants, well maintained and can host garden or pool parties. The restaurant is beautifully arranged with soft arches, big windows, the staff is very attentive but overall a bit too expensive for what it has to offer. The inside hall and the rooms are cold looking, outdated and kind of spooky, not really matching the luxury displayed in the advertising pictures but I guess a castle is supposed to be like this...The road from the gate to the castle is badly maintained and the occasionally repaired potholes are signalled by 2 plastic containers. The cactuses at the balconies aren't giving a welcoming look but more of a hostile one. Due to it's high altitude location, I believe it can be a very good and cool place to be in the middle of the summer when temperatures are a bit too high elsewhere. I would say this castle is excellent for a trip back in time, for events or group gatherings and less suitable for couples as if there's an event going on, you would feel completely uncomfortable. As a solo traveller, I would completely avoid this hotel, it might feel extremely lonely...Definitely not a 5 star hotel, neither a 5 star experience as the quality-price is totally unbalanced.
