Peccato abbiano interdetto l'accesso al lungo mare.
 The municipal villa, the sound box, the waterfront .. historical meeting places for Stabiese and others.
Too bad they have forbidden access to the seafront.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Una bellissima città, ma con i soliti problemi di molte città del sud Italia. Ci sono delle terme bellissime con oltre venti acque termali con tante proprietà mediche ma purtroppo sono chiuse. C’è un lungomare di diversi chilometri e larghissimo, bellissimo ma purtroppo il mare è inquinato e non è balneabile. C’e una funivia che dal centro ti porta direttamente sul Monte Faito, è se vuoi andare a Sorrento con la circumvesuviana ci arrivi in circa venti minuti.
A beautiful city, but with the usual problems of many cities in southern Italy. There are beautiful spas with over twenty thermal waters with many medical properties but unfortunately they are closed. There is a seafront of several kilometers and very wide, beautiful but unfortunately the sea is polluted and is not suitable for bathing. There is a cable car that from the center takes you directly to Mount Faito, and if you want to go to Sorrento with the circumvesuviana you get there in about twenty minutes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mein Vater ist hier geboren, deswegen ist Castellamare schon immer eines unserer Urlaubsziele. Kein Touristenhotspot wie Sorrento oder Pompeii. Aber sehr gut gelegen um dort hin zukommen. Capri kann man von der Promenade aus sehen. Alles in allem eine ursprüngliche italienische Stadt von der man nicht erwarten darf das alles für Urlauber künstlich in Szene gesetzt wurde. Baden geht hier und da, überwiegend an kostenpflichtigen steinigen Stränden.Wer allerdings Wert legt auf einen Kilometerlangen Sandstrand,der sollte nach Paestum fahren. Wer das normale, chaotische und laute Italien kennenlernen möchte, ist hier genau richtig....für alle anderen gibt es genügend andere Orte.
