Due accessi sul retro (?) chiusi, quello principale direi che porta a casa privata, ritenterò, sperando ci sia un po' più di segnaletica. Peccato perché da fuori non sembra male anche se visitabile solo l'esterno (rif. pagina web). I was unable to log into the site. Parking at the base of the road only for authorized persons that leads the path of the castles. Two accesses on the back (?) Closed, the main one I would say leads to a private house, I will try again, hoping there is a little more signage. Too bad because from the outside it doesn't look bad even if only the outside can be visited (ref. Web page).

Costruito nel XIII secolo su precedenti fortificazioni romane longobarde, facilmente riconoscibile per la sua alta e stretta torre venne bruciato nel 1665 e da allora cominciò a cadere in disgrazia. Oggi è una romantica rovina, raggiungibile con una non impegnativa camminata in salita sul "Sentiero dei Castelli". È privato e non è visitabile, si può solo vedere dall'esterno. It was the most important fortification of the Valsugana. Built in the 13th century on previous Lombard Roman fortifications, easily recognizable for its tall and narrow tower, it was burned in 1665 and has since begun to fall into disgrace. Today it is a romantic ruin, reachable with a gentle uphill walk on the "Sentiero dei Castelli". It is private and cannot be visited, you can only see it from the outside.

Con una passeggiata di 30 minuti il giorno dopo siamo saliti in cima. Il castello è stato acquistato da un avvocato, probabilmente una parte è sistemata x alloggio privato peccato che un castello così affascinante non sia ristrutturato e aperto al pubblico perlomeno in parte. We arrived at the camper park of Borgo Valsugana and the view of the Telvana Castle is spectacular. With a 30 minute walk the next day we climbed to the top. The castle was purchased by a lawyer, probably part of it is arranged for private accommodation, it is a pity that such a fascinating castle is not renovated and open to the public at least in part.

Dopo una scarpinata nel ripido sentiero che lo raggiunge, per vederlo almeno da fuori, ci si rende conto, che la vista migliore era quella dalla quale si è partiti. Il bosco, la conformazione del castello e le caratteristiche del territorio lo rendono poco visibile e apprezzabile da vicino. Sul posto si può appurare che la struttura non è ben tenuta, peccato perché un manufatto di questa bellezza e con queste potenzialità andrebbe valorizzato e soprattutto sfruttato meglio, magari rendendolo fruibile a tutti. We see that it is beautiful from afar and the photos from above (seen on the internet) confirm this. Unfortunately it cannot be visited inside. After a hike in the steep path that reaches it, to see it at least from the outside, we realize that the best view was the one from which we started. The wood, the conformation of the castle and the characteristics of the territory make it not very visible and noticeable up close. On the spot it can be ascertained that the structure is not well maintained, too bad because an artifact of this beauty and with this potential should be valued and above all exploited better, perhaps making it usable to all.
S	Stefano Cappai on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dopo qualche anno, oggi sono salito a castel Telvana, nella speranza di poter vedere qualcosa di più rispetto al passato . Delusione! Il sentiero dei castelli è poco curato , a tratti sporco . Il castello ,trascurato, non si presenta nella sua migliore veste….. ed è un peccato perché si nota , grazie alle fonti , che è uno dei più imponenti della valle . Ho notato in parecchi punti che le mura esterne versano in uno stato di conservazione a dir poco deprecabile. Spero che con L imminente apertura al pubblico delle aree esterne del castello , inizi un percorso di valorizzazione e di sensibilizzazione , anche da parte dei proprietari , e che nel tempo il castello possa essere INTERAMENTE visitato. After a few years, today I went up to Castel Telvana, hoping to be able to see something more than in the past. Disappointment! The path of the castles is poorly maintained, sometimes dirty. The castle, neglected, does not appear in its best guise ... .. and it is a shame because it can be seen, thanks to the sources, that it is one of the most impressive in the valley. I have noticed in several places that the external walls are in a state of conservation that is nothing short of deplorable. I hope that with the imminent opening to the public of the external areas of the castle, a process of enhancement and awareness begins, also by the owners, and that over time the castle can be ENTIRELY visited.
T	Tisi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Uno dei castelli principali di Trentino sud-orientale con una storia importante che parte dai romani e arriva al risorgimento, quando la struttura venne occupata dai garibaldini. Consiglio di seguire il percorso dei bersaglieri anche se è un po’ impegnativo e a tratti trascurato. Davvero un peccato che il castello non sia visitabile dall’interno. One of the main castles of south-eastern Trentino with an important history that starts with the Romans and reaches the Risorgimento, when the structure was occupied by the Garibaldini. I recommend following the path of the Bersaglieri even if it is a bit challenging and at times neglected. Really a pity that the castle cannot be visited from the inside.
H	Happy Lucky on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's unfortunate that there is no way that you can enter the castle. The way to get there is either through a path that just brings you near it so you can take some pic from afar, or perhaps through a path in a private property.
