VERONA. On the night of February 21, in 2005, the police officer Davide Turazza died, in the service of a steering wheel hit together with the patrol colleague Giuseppe Cimarrusti in a tragic fire conflict with a multiple murderer. The disappearance of Agent Turazza occurred nine years after the death of his brother Massimiliano, as he was a policeman of the Flying Squad of the Police Headquarters of Verona, as he fell on duty in a fatal gun fight with a criminal. It was precisely the killing in service of Maximilian on 19 October 1994 that induced Davide to wear the uniform, wanting to continue the generous work of his older brother in the police. United in the strong attachment to the State Police and in the common - absurd - destiny, the Turazza brothers have become an example for all the staff of the Verona Police Headquarters. On 21.02.2015 on the initiative of the then Quaestor of Verona Danilo Gagliardi, the tenth anniversary of the disappearance of the agent Davide Turazza and having celebrated the past year the twentieth anniversary of that of his brother Massimiliano, we wanted to honor his memory through the title of the Allegri Barracks, to the "Brothers Massimiliano and Davide Turazza". The barracks, whose original nucleus dates back to the first half of the fourteenth century and then owned by the illustrious Allegri family of which it was the main residence until the nineteenth century, is a place very popular with staff, since both the canteen and the accommodation are located service collectives in which many generations of acclaimed policemen - especially young agents, as the Turazza brothers were - lived and still live.
